It Ain’t Me Babe 45 by The Turtles

“It Ain’t Me Babe” was released August 7, 1965 and became The Turtles first hit reaching number 8 on THE BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Chart.

It was a cover of a Bob Dylan tune and while there sound was still developing, it was a nice straight forward rendition of the tune.

The core of the group was Mark Volman and Howard Kaylan who would perform as Flo & Eddie after The Turtles disbanded in 1970. They even joined Frank Zappa’s Mothers Of Invention for awhile.

The Turtles would produce 17 chart singles, 1965-1970, including 8 which would reach the top 20.
