Elvis Presley had hit singles and then he had hit singles. “All Shook Up” was one of Elvis’ biggest hits as it topped the United States singles charts for nine weekx and spent 30 weeks on the charts.
Released April 6, 1957, it was one of 26 singles of his to chart during 1956-1957. This was during his pre-army period when he was still a rocker and “All Shook Up” was all of that. It was an up-tempo rocker that would become few and far between as he turned more toward pop as his career progressed.
“All Shook Up” was the number one single of the year and sold over two million copies in The United States. ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE named it one of the 500 Greatest Songs Of All Time.
