Carl Wilson released his self-titled debut album in 1981 during a period when Beach Boys were not very active. The album did not garner musc commercial success and while he would release another solo album during 1983, he would remain an active part of The Beach Boys until the end of his life.
It remains a vastly under appreciated album and well worth seeking out whether you are a fan of The Beach Boys or not.
One of the singles released from the album was “Heaven.” While it did not make the BILBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart, it did reach the top 20 on the Adult Contemporary Chart.
It is alway good to have Carl Wilson’s voice floating over the instrumental mix, whether solo or with The Beach Boys.
