Bobby Rydell was one of the teen idols of the pre-Beatles era in the United States. Beginning in 1959, he placed 30 singles on the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart.
He produced a number of commercially successful, smooth pop tunes. “Wild One” was the highest charting single of his career and possibly the best as well.
Released at the very beginning of 1960, it peaked at number two on the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart. It’s flip side, “Little Bitty Girl,” reached number 19 make it a two-sided hit.
Since 1985, he has toured with Frankie Avalon and Fabian, as the Golden Boys.
