Secret Love by Doris Day

Doris Day is still going strong at the age of 88 but diring the 1950s and the first half of the 1960s she was America’s sweetheart. She was a movie star who was a top ten box office attraction for ten years.

She was also a singer whose records sold tens of millions of copies. Her 1954 hit, “Secret Love,” was one of her signature songs and biggest hits.

Released during early 1954, “Secret Love” topped two of the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Singles Charts.

Best Sellers In Stores Chart – 2/27/54 – 3 weeks at number one.
Most Played By Disc Jockeys Chart – 3/6/54 – 4 weeks at number one.
Most Played By Disc Jockeys Chart – Did not chart.

It may sound a little dated dated today but was typical of the music of the pre-rock ‘n’ roll era.
