The Everly Brothers were superstars during the pre-Beatles era. They placed 36 singles on the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart, 1957-1964, including four that reached number one. This led to their 1986 induction into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.
“Crying In The Rain” first reached the Pop Chart, January 13, 1962, and during its 13 weeks on the chart, it peaked at number six. It was the second to last top 30 hit of their career.
If there was thing the Everly Brothers could do, it was harmonize. Their voices fit together perfectly and this single remains an excellent example of that fact.
