Memories Are Made Of This by Dean Martin

Dean Martin, 1917-1995, was a movie star, a television icon, and a recording artist who sold tens-of-millions of records. His films with Jerry Lewis were comedy classics and his TV series, THE DEAN MARTIN SHOW (1965-1974) and his CELEBRITY ROASTS (1974-1985) made him a star for twenty years.

During his recording career, he placed 40 songs on the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart, 1948-1969. While many people remember him for his 1964 number one hit, “Everybody Loves Somebody;” it was 1956’s “Memories Are Made Of This” that was the biggest hit of his career as it topped all four BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Charts.

Best Sellers In Stores Chart – 1/14/56 – 5 weeks at number one.
Most Played By Disc Jockeys Chart – 1/7/56 – 6 weeks at number one.
Most Played In Jukeboxes Chart – 1/28/56 – 4 weeks at number one.
Top 100 Chart – 1/14/56 – 5 weeks at number one.

It was a song that he would perform in Vegas for the rest of his life.
