Bridget The Midget 45 by Ray Stevens

Bridget The Midget

Ray Stevens will always be remembered for his series of comedy pop/rock songs such as “Ahab The Arab,” “Harry The Hairy Ape,” and his chart topping “The Streek.” Every once in awhile he would issue a tradition pop song, the most famous of which was his other number one hit, “Everything Is Beautiful.”

“Bridget The Midget (The Queen Of The Blues)” was issued during late 1970 and peaked at number 50 on the BILLBOARD MAGAZINE Pop Singles Chart. It was sort of a cross between his comedy and serious material.

It may not have been a big hiy but it was a fine vocal performance.
