I don’t think Elvis ever made a bad gospel recording. He had a religious side and through out his career always returned to his gospel rootsfrom time to time.
“You’ll Never Walk Alone” was a Rogers and Hammerstein song from the Broadway play CAROUSEL. In 1971 it would be the title song of one of Elvis’ albums. He released the song as a single during May of 1968. it only spent two weeks on the BILLBOARD Hot 100 chart peaking at number 90.
It was the 102nd chart single of his career and one of his lowest charting. Still, the quality was high and it and most of his gospel recordings are worth seeking out.
