Hey Jude By The Beatles

June 12, 2021

During the late summer of 1968, The Beatles had a new label (Apple) and a new single (Hey Jude). It would become the biggest hit single of their career, which is saying a lot.

“Hey Jude” was released at 7 minutes and 11 seconds, which made it the longest hit single of the era. The flip side was “Revolution.” which peaked at number 12. “Revolution” remains one of the more interesting songs in the Beatles catalogue.

There is still a lot of controversy as to who Jude actually was but it really didn’t matter.

“Hey Jude” reached number one on September 28, 1968 and there is remained for 9 consecutive weeks.
